CHRISTMAS IN SURFERS PARADISE
From the 13th to the 24th of December, Surfers Paradise metamorphosed itself in a Christmas wonderland under the summer sun in a family friendly festive season spectacular taking place in the heart of the Gold Coast.
Surfing Santa and his elf helpers in his quintessentially Aussie surfboard sleigh pulled by a mob of Kangaroos was there to meet the crowds into vibrant Cavill Mall.
Families lined up for their free photos with Santa; little did they know that they will get a Timezone giveaway from the big man himself.
Each goody bag contained flyers from different Surfers Paradise retailers, Timezone's whistle and 3D colouring sticker and a drink bottle from Gold Coast City Council. There was 2160 showbags distributed to happy children throughout the holiday period.
Christmas in Surfers Paradise brings a new dimension of summer sparkle to traditional festivities with free entertainment spectacular, culminating in the beloved carols on the beach.
Powie was spreading the Christmas cheer with other Surfers Paradise mascots in Cavill Mall daily, from 7pm till 7.30pm. He was available for photos and cuddles with beautiful Christmas music all around.
