Gold Coast 600 was just around the corner and the three-day event was to be non-stop excitement with, live music and of course what they all came to see- RACING!

On the 20th of October the event launched with one of Gold Coast’s biggest parades through the streets of Surfers Paradise.

Timezone Surfers Paradise was amongst more than 250 performers and stars, plus a host of colourful floats and giant inflatables.

The parade started from View Avenue, then into the Esplanade through Cavill Mall, Orchid Avenue, Elthorn Avenue, then back to the Esplanade. The two-kilometre parade took approximately 30 to 40 minutes to pass by each point.

The convoy snaked their way through- ushering in, a week of thrilling on and off-track celebrations.

Timezone Gold Coast’s convoy was positioned at the front in the midst of it all behind the lead QPS vehicle. Bathtub racers, Powie, showbags, mini basketball and costumes… we were set to go!

There was six giant V8 supercar-themed inflatables and a range of floats featuring v8 Supercar drivers and Miss V8 Supercar finalists.

The parade was a celebration of coulour, music and motorsport to get Gold Coasters in the mood for a weeklong party.

It was a lot of fun for everyone involved and great event to be part of.
